Postage and Packaging Policy
​We want you to be delighted with your bullion from British Metals, and the service that you receive, upon which we pride ourselves. Please read carefully the Shipping Policy described below.

Shipping Terms
​We aim to dispatch the working day following placement of orders.
Our standard delivery on orders (free) = Royal Mail Second Class.
​
We offer free delivery on orders over £0.01. Additional insurance may be taken out on request.
Items, unless otherwise stated, are supplied in plain packaging.

Premium delivery on orders under £50 (£1.75) = Royal Mail Second Class Recorded/Signed
Premium delivery on orders over £50 (Free) = Royal Mail Second Class Recorded/Signed
With Recorded delivery, a tracking number for each order will be sent by email or SMS. Items can be tracked at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item. British Metals' stated delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
British Metals is not responsible for and cannot affect the delivery times once the order has left our premises, however if delivery is not made within the stated time-scales for paid delivery services, the delivery charge may be refunded. If you are not in at the time of delivery the postman/courier will generally leave a note to say that the parcel has been taken back to the depot where you may pick it up/request a re-delivery. Once Royal Mail have attempted to deliver, it is the customer's responsibility to make collection or re-delivery arrangements with Royal Mail.
Goods Lost in transit
Any items not delivered, must be reported to us within 7 days of your order being dispatched and we will try and locate it. British Metals will not accept claims for non-delivery of items sent by Standard Delivery, if we are not informed of non-delivery within 7 days of dispatch of your order. When informed about non-delivery, We are required by Royal Mail, to wait a total of 21 working days before a claim can be made for a lost item, and therefore we do not consider items lost until 21 Working days have passed. At this point a claim will be raised and a replacement item sent (stock permitting). Where items are out of stock a refund will be made.

In the event of an order lost in transit the customer is required to cooperate with British Metals and Royal Mail in dealing with the claim. Failure to cooperate may invalidate the claim for a lost order.

British Metals cannot accept responsibility for delayed or lost orders due incorrect delivery addresses being provided. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all details are entered correctly when placing an order to ensure no issues with delivery.
